At this time of national emergency please know the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) staff are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. While most of the Nation shelters in place, VMC staff continue to provide life essential services – rooted in dignity and care and compassion – through our coordinated street outreach efforts, meals and housing at ALL of our VMC facilities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
We are taking the precautions necessary to mitigate risk to our Veterans and our staff. But our mission continues to homeless Veterans at The Perimeter, as well as Veteran families sheltering in place at the Edison 64 Veterans Community Center and our facilities at the Coatesville VA Center, LZII & Mary Walker House.
Veterans Multi-Service Center offers life essential services to the most vulnerable of our Veterans population. During this uncertain time, we will continue our mission while taking every measure to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients and staff.
Until our city, state and federal health officials signal otherwise, VMC will enact the following measures:
- The Perimeter intake center at 213-217 North 4th Street, Philadelphia will be accessible to those clients with only the acute needs of homelessness or hunger.
- Group van transportation will be suspended to keep you safely in place at a shelter.
- The Women Veterans Center & Thrift Store will suspend all operations.
- All visitors and staff intending to enter any of our facilities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware will be required to answer the COVID-19 survey. Failure to answer the survey or responding in the affirmative to any survey question will prevent access to the VMC facility.
