Comcast Volunteers to Beautify New VMC Women Veterans Center in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA –April 24, 2015 – One year ago, the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) dedicated space to create the first local Women Veterans Center to better serve our women veterans. As the program evolved to meet the individual need of women veterans and their children, so too did the need for additional space to accommodate our heroes.

This Saturday, April 25, 2015, VMC will partner with over 100 Comcast VetNet Volunteers to renovate new space to be dedicated to Women Veterans and their children. The day will be filled with multiple projects aimed at beautification and revitalization of facilities serving local Veterans in celebration of the annual Comcast Cares Day, which brings together employees, families, friends and community partners to volunteer and make change happen in local communities.

"I am the wife of a Viet Nam Veteran. My husband started going to PVMSEC 10 years ago for help. No mere words could ever express how much his life and in turn our family life has changed for the better in those years. I am and always will be grateful for the wonderful care he has received at the Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service Center & Education Center."
